I am a teacher at a private junior high school. Today I learned a valuable lesson from my student. This student of mine told me that he cares about his neighbors who cannot go to school because of the weak economy.
But his good intentions were seen as a bad thing by the neighboring family. I was very sad when he told me that his neighbor hit him and humiliated him in the middle of the street. The neighbor felt that my students didn't need to worry about their situation.
I realized that a good intention is not necessarily good for others and sometimes good intentions actually end in disaster for us. But aren't good intentions always taught by religion? Even in Islam, if we have good intentions, it will be counted as a reward even though we have not done it.
I really learned from my student, that every human
being has goodness in them. My student is just a student who still gets
pocket money from his parents, has no income and it's hard to give help
to others, but he still cares about other people.
As a result, I became skeptical about people who are better than my students but don't care about others. How about you ? Have you cared about other people? You don't have to go far.
Do you want to listen to the opinions of your parents, brothers, sisters, and your spouse? Or continue to impose your ego? Thinking that they care about you while you don't care about their opinion. From now on, care about others. Starting with your family first, then friends, friends and the environment around you.
I believe that it doesn't matter who the person is if he does well, then he should be set as an example. And today the lesson that I received from my student is a lesson that I wrote down in my blog so that I can remember it. I also believe that you can start to care about other people more, because you are someone who can think that caring about others is a good thing.
